Waterpower resource is the renewable and cleaning energy source, and also the high-quality source for power generation. Under the condition that human survival was seriously influenced by global warming, energy security and supply has become the most concern of the country and its people. Therefore, an important approach to reduce environment pollution is to adopt cleaning, green and renewable energy resource and to reduce harmful emissions. Hydroelectric power, which was used early, development technique-matured and the biggest renewable energy of the global energy resources, is taken seriously by people and utilized effectively.Hydraulic turbine is the hydraulic prime mover of water power generation, and is one of the important power equipment of hydropower station. The capability of hydraulic turbine directly affects the technological and economic level of the hydropower station. Therefore, effective monitoring and analysis to the turbine operation parameters will play an important role for the efficient and stable operation of hydroelectric generating set, and for the optimizing operation system of hydroelectric generating set.Three aspects of the operation characteristics of hydraulic turbine were analyzed in this paper based on on-site monitoring data of Guangxi Sancha hydropower station, main content as follows:Section one: the relative efficiency analysis of the hydraulic turbine. Data of working head, contribution and differential pressure of the hydroelectric generating set on different typical conditions was obtained with analysis and collection of large amounts of on-site data of No.2 hydroelectric generating set of Guangxi Sancha hydropower station. Based on the calculation principles of the relative efficiency of hydraulic turbine, the relative efficiency was calculated, and the curve of relationship between the relative efficiency and the contribution was established. The curve does not follow the general rule and study the reason.Section two: the hydroelectric power system simulation. The input and output mathematical model of the hydroelectric power system that consists of water pipes, water turbine and generator was developed with artificial neural network based on on-site monitoring data. Compared with the monitoring data, the artificial neural network model has high accuracy and can be used in the development of the optimized operation system of hydroelectric generating unit of hydropower station.Section three: the bearing temperature simulation of the hydroelectric generating set. Data fitting method was applied to the bearing temperature simulation of the hydroelectric generating set. The method can predict the bearing temperature changes; in addition also established the artificial neural network model of the hydro-generating bearing temperature, could be used to guide the operation of hydroelectric generating set of the hydroelectric generating set.The results of this paper have been used to optimize the intelligent decision system of Guangxi Sancha hydropower station, and played an important role to safety and efficient of the hydroelectric generating set.
