Most domestic shipyards are facing a problem that holding too much order form while the time isn't enough. In order to improve the production efficiency, shipyards have to increase capacity of hoisting, to expand production area, and to depend on overtime. How to make shipyards out of the misunderstanding that expanded reproduction? One of the most available methods is seeking development of shipbuilding model. As the higher level of shipbuilding model, modularization shipbuilding emphasize generalization, standardization, can make quick response to the shipowner's need, it has standard-size and standard component, conforming to the concept of improving efficiency and green manufacturing, which is the trend of future development. But, there are some difficulties to achieve modular shipbuilding, for example:ship type and equipment in shipyards are not standardized. The study of analogous modular block in this paper is based on the module manufacturing theory, guided by thought of modular manufacturing. Analysis similarities of geometrical structure and process flow of blocks under the premise that the hull structure and production capacity are not changed. This paper uses AHP to determine the weight of the factors mentioned above in the research of analogous modular block, including block structure, block function, weight and size of blocks, weldment, paint, outfitting and so on. And then using weights and similarity of sampling to screen out some blocks which are most correspond with module standards. Then design standardized process, which compared with current technology in shipyard, in order to verify the feasibility of analogous modular block thought and its prospect.
