Study On Recycling Of Modern Historic Buildings In Tianjin

Due to the reasons of unique history and geology of Tianjin in the past one hundredyears, unique city style has been formed. Starting from the situation of modern historicbuildings protection in districts of Tianjin, then from the comparison between domesticand foreign recycling on historic buildings, combining with the study on the modernhistoric building protection and renew mode in Tianjin, in retrospect of challengesduring the process of protection, as well as the comparisons in the economic and culturevalue of modern buildings, this paper intends to explore more rational renew mode onhistoric buildings.Through the general conditions on the background of modern historic buildings inTianjin, and the relative theories and practices on the recycling and protection ofhistoric buildings, the theoretic structure is presented, the culture and economic value ofTianijn’s modern buildings is analyzed, and nevertheless, the protection and renewmode on historic building protection as well as are put forward in this paper.During the process of introducing the protection and renew theories and practicesof modern historic buildings, comparing with the historic building protection policies ofU.S.A., Japan and France, combining with real cases, as well as the comparisons onChinese policies and the renew strategy and operational modes of the historic buildings,a foundation of the subsequent discussion on Tianjin’s historic building recycling isformed.From the Tianjin modern historical changes, modern historic buildings type,characteristics, technology and different locations, the existing style and condition ofTianjin’s modern historic buildings are discussed and the challenges and resolutions onthe recycling of historic buildings are illustrated, in order to make the recycling ofhistoric buildings more targeted, meanwhile, the principal mistakes in the process ofrecycling can be avoided in case of the loss of economic and cultural values on historicbuildings.In the end, the protection case of Tianjin historic buildings and blocks areillustrated, including the analyze of new Italian style blocks, the protections on the smallbuildings on Five Avenue, the present situation of financial street located in JiefangbeiRoad, the exploring and utilization of creative industry park, and finally, a recycling mode of historic building is put forward.
