In the recent years, the motorbike has rapidly developed with the improving of living Chinese people. Because of air pollution of iniernal combustion engine and the shortage of global oil resources, people become increasingly concerned about environmental and energy issues, So the green transportation has become important issue. The electric bieycle with electrieity as the driving energy has beeome the preferred means of transport beeause of its legerity,moderate cost,no pollution and low noise.lt is certain that the electric bicycle will has abroad market prospect.At the same time, the electric bicycle as a new green transport is beneficial to relieve environment pollution,resource shortage,traffic jam and other difficult problems which our country is facing in the process of sustainable development and building a harmonious soeiety. Thus, relying on scientific and technological progress, vigorously develop the electric bicycle has a considerable economic benefits and important soeial significance. The control of Brushless DC motor (BLDC) is the key technology for electric bicycles. Due to cost constraints, at present, many of BLDC controllers are plagued with problems. The objectives of this study are to settle the key technical issues, and design a BLDC controller for electric bicycles to meet the needs of low-cost, high reliability and complete function.This paper design a suitable control program for the BLDC based on the analysis of basic structure and working principle of electric bicycle and the mathematical model of a BLDC. In this paper, Controller use the signal of Hall to achieve the proper commutation of the motor and calculate the actual speed of the motor in order to achieve closed-loop control of motor speed, the system uses PI algorithm to control the motor speed.On the hardware side, the hardware circuit including power supply circuit, three-phase full-bridge inverter circuit, inverter drive circuit, the rotor position detection circuit, the hardware protection circuit, current and voltage detection circuit, micro control unit circuit and display circuit etc were designed. Also, factors that affect the reliability and the electromagnetic interference of the system are discussed in this paper, and some methods are introduced soon after.The software was designed following the principle of modularization and structured programming and using assembly and C languageas as the programme languages which full use of the advantages of the structured of C language and the high-performance real-time of assembly language. The control strategy of BLDC which provides a basis for the software design including position signal detection program, commutation program, speed calculation program, the speed loop PI regulation program, serial displays and keyboard program etc were studied, and aslo less or over voltage protection, current excessive protection and stal protection are designed to reinforce the system.In the end, the hardware test platform for control system of electric bicycle is produced by TMS320F28035 whichi is a processor of TI for dedicates to the motor control, and design the software of electric bicycle control system in CCS3.3. The experiment result showed that the hardware Platform and the associated software design can supply good control capability,and the electric bicycle control system has an excellent dynamic and static performance as well as splendid protection element which improved the operation reliability, and simple structure, low cost and convenient for the further develent.
