Research Of Platform For Producing IETM Based On S1000D

With the development of information technology,interactive electronic technical manual (IETM) is one of top ten factors of the integrated logistics support.For shortening maintenance time and increasing the efficiency of integrated support equipment, IETM is important. Now many countries use S1000D specification when they produce IETM. Platform for producing IETM based on S1000D specification becomes more and more important. This paper analyzes a large number of domestic and foreign literature data.This paper has referenced a large number of foreign and domestic research in the field of IETM technology.Combination of author's actual work experience of IETM technology in Beijing Techysky Technologies Co.,Ltd. The platform for producing IETM based on S1000D specification is proposed and designed. The main content and innovations as follow.(1) Detailed study of architecture of platform for producing IETM based on S1000D.Research on the structure and composition of functional modules, and the functional modules are implemented.This paper analyzes how to determine the structure of business rules and functional decomposition in the functional modules.(2) IETM production platform is a set of editing electronic technical manual, content management, publishing, technical information display and life-cycle management based on XML language. IETM production process includes creating illustrations, creating data module and publications module. According to S1000D specification, this paper researchs illustrated production process, creation principle of data module and structure of publications.(3) In order to make IETM meet rising market demand. Integration of SCORM standards in the platform for producing IETM are considered, so that the IETM system has a training function.The training content converses into Schema.(4) Design platform for producing IETM based on S1000D specification and validate it with example. Validate the proposed the development process of IETM based on S1000D specification.According to S1000D specification, this paper presents the architecture of IETM production platform, and researchs technical content of the editorial and management in the IETM.This paper analyzes production process of the IETM,and proposes the releasing form of the IETM. IETM production platform has function of creating the project, editing, content management and publishing. This paper researchs creating process of data module, illustration and publication module, and proposes the method of enhancing the training capabilities of IETM with the SCORM standard.
