This dissertation proposed the background and significance of the research firstly, analyzed the research status of the stacker, variant design and genetic engineering at home and abroad, put forward genetic engineering-based variant design, and applied it to the development of stacker variant design system.In theory, analogized of the biological genetic engineering, researched genetic engineering of the product, based on which, proposed the support product design theory, including the functional surface theory and the growth design used for gene expression, established a variant design product gene model,received the support of Natural Science Foundation of Shanxi Province Mechanical product variant design theory based on Gene Model(2008012007)?.In technology applications, the key technologies of genetic engineering-based variant design were proposed, including gene extraction, gene amplification, gene recombination and gene expression.Under the guidance of the gene theory, the key technologies of genetic engineering-based variant design used in mechanical product variant design, two-column tunnel-type stacking machine as the development object, According to customer's design requirements, detailed analysis of the stacker s structure, decomposed and reconstructed the gene product stacker, using SolidWorks2010 as software development platform, Using programming language Visual Basic6.0 to development SolidWorks secondary, Built system human-computer interface, developed model-driven modules and drawings adjustment modules to achieve the variant design system of the stacker metal structure.The development of genetic engineering-based stacker variant design system, Achieved Series and automation of products design in certain degree, good innovative, improved the design efficiency of enterprise, quickly respond to market demand. The reliability of the system has been effectively verified in Tai Yuan Gang Yu Logistics Engineering Co., Ltd.
