| Netwok is the necessary requirement of manufacture development. It has become one of the important means to enhance the competitiveness. DNC has become the important instrument for the integration of numerical control information and machines, and it has been adopted by many enterprises.In this paper, based on the full analysis of general NC machine problem in our country and with the actual situation of workshop equipment, this DNC system is designed to accomplish communication, monitor, statistics and management function. In the development process, by the DNC technology, multi-thread technology, programming, database development and many other means, the following five targets are achieved:1. Manage NC machines from different NC system, different manafacturers and different ages.2. Create two-way communication with CNC equipment. Users can not only remote call for NC program in the device side, but also pass the NC program from the device to the server.3. Capture various working information, including workpieces, tools, power-on time, power-off time, and working time. It can do statistics of the machine's total standby time and working time, workpiece amount, and the utilization.4. Supply the procedure of program like edit, audit, approval and modification. It designs different manage ways for NC program edited in process department and workshop. Besides this, it can compare the program modified with the original.5. Classify and manage many kinds of NC information, including equipment, workpiece etc.The structure of the entire system is composed of three parts: network communication, database, and software. Network communication is the foundation. The system adopts protocol transfer networking plan and RS-232 port to transfer machines into net nodes, then makes the machines, clients and the server in one internet with multilayer exchange board.These make the hardware foundation of DNC internet. Datebase stores all the program, working process, machine status, program transmission history etc. Software uses C/S structure with four submodules. The server and clients are responsible for data transmission and calculation respectively. This structure effectively reduces the network load. Software executes single operation according to user's request. It collects the data automatically.After practical application, it is proved that the system can effectively improve the utilization of the numerical control equipment and the automation level. It helps managers do right decision, and improves the productivity. Besides, this system has good scalability and good portability. It lays a good foundation for integration with other systems in the future. |
