| The aerospace sheet metal parts which make up an important part of the airframe are the basis of design, manufacture and obtain the high structure efficiency, fine performance of aircraft. The traditional design for aerospace sheet metal takes the geometry as the operation object, consequently, it's unable to integrate the design knowledge effectively, in addition, as a result of depending too much on artificial to enter and process information, a lot of duplication of work need to be done, seriously affect the efficiency of the design. Thus, with the application of Knowledge Based Engineering, some aerospace sheet metal design technologies based on features and knowledge are researched, and a design system for aerospace sheet metal based on features and knowledge is developed on CATIA platform, The main work of this paper are as followed:1) Parametric design technology based on features is researched, making the aerospace sheet metal standard features as parametric objects, expands the scope of application, and breaks the limitations of traditional parametric design.2) General principles of classification and description of the aerospace sheet metal features are developed. Under the support of interface such as IUDF and Catalog, etc., a parametric Feature Library with screening function is established to realize fast access to demand features .3) Fusion technology of feature and knowledge is researched and the mapping relations are set up. Parametric feature is associated with design knowledge by Design Table and Date Interface to form a generalized knowledge base, and then a succession of aerospace sheet metal design knowledge by taking this database as the basis of design is achieved.4) The technology of manufacturability evaluation of design feature is researched to work out a basic scheme of evaluation; CATIA expert system is used to check the design parameters of aerospace sheet metal in order to realize synchronized feedback of information to ensure the accuracy of design.5) A rapid design system for aerospace sheet metal based on features and knowledge is developed based on above researches, and applied in aircraft structural design in Chengdu aircraft design institute, improves the design quality and efficiency, makes the design more standardized. |
