Research ＆Development Of The Variable-Speed Testing Equipment For Mechanical Seals

The mechanical seals are required have high stability, high reliability and long life with the rapid development of oil, petrochemical. At the same time, the experimental technique of mechanical seals is forward higher requirements. Variable-speed testing system of mechanical seals, which is entrusted and also funded by Laboratory about Chemical Process mechanical seals of Zhejiang University of Technology, is developed in order to meet the research needs of multi-function test. The dissertation is arranged as follows:First, determine the experimental system design goals based on the main failure reason of mechanical seals and related experiments according to domestic and foreign mechanical seal technology development trend. Determine the overall experimental system program based on the experimental requirements, the experimental system is divided into three parts which are mechanical body, electrical controls and software systems.Secondly, Mechanical body and electrical control systems are designed. The overall layout for the bench and drive and sealing chamber are designed based on experimental Simulation parameters, testing system is complied based on Frequency technology, the temperatures, friction torque, pressure and Seal gap measurement program are designed, and carry out sensor selection, realized multi-parameter measurement test system functional design.Then, the software system is developed based on LabVIEW, Some major functions, such as data collection, real-time data displays, data storage and historical data query functions are provided for the system. Giving the implementation method of the system, the design features and the specific program block diagram of the key aspects are introduced.Finally, start and stop characteristics test of contact mechanical seals is carried out based on the seal test platform which is established, Test the experimental system operability.
