Automatic transmission is a pivotal facility of auto mobile. It directly affects the performance of dynamics, economy and reliability of automobile. Nowadays, with the rapid development of the automobile industry, the public pay close attention to the performance of automatic transmission, so the request for the performance test of auto-matic transmis-sion is increasingly higher.Aiming at the performance test of automatic transmission, this paper studies on the loading controller of automatic transmission. Based on the detailed analysis of operating principle of this system and Stability, this paper further researches the operating state of dynamometer, its physical model and mathematic mod-el, based on this perfect design of hardware, the strategy of control and its implem- enttation of software. At last, this paper achieves the development of loading controller of automatic transmission.First, based on theory, this paper analyzes the operating principle, the relations among the main torques, the three running state and conditions of the system function. The mathematic model of electrical dynamometer is constructed through coordinate transformation. The elementary equation about electromagnetism torque is deduced. These steps have laid the theory base of load control strategy for the power-test system.Second, as for the part of the hardware design of control system, the paper analyzes the principle of composing and its basic structure, gives the detailed circuit of the input signal detection, the output of control signal and the system safeguard which takes industry control computer as the core. The design of the excitation control system is also presented in detail, which is an actuating mechanism of system. As for the part of the software design of control system, the paper completes the design of dual closed loop controller which takes fuzzy PID as the core, and gives the Flow chart of corresponding algorithm. At the same time, the conception of road test emulation on chassis's dynamometer is introduced, the emulation of the road resistance is also studied, and the simulate road test in lab is performed. At last, this paper has a development simulates with MATLAB/simulink software, and the result indicate that controller with the fuzzy PID controller has the fairly good development respond to ability.
