The construction industry growed up quickly as the high development of our country's economic, considering the procedure of the system is with different occupation, complex program, fly-over crossing and continuation, unsafety factors increased, therefore, there are many hand operation, the contact between worker and tool is also frequent, the accident is various and hard to predict, and the construction accident also happened more than before. It is necessary to improve the safety level of the construction firm to control the accidence.The safety assessment methods that now uesd in construction have much problems such as unsystematic, unpertinence, the content of assessment index is not comprehensive and accurate and so on. Therefore, it researched the safety assessment index system and the method.(1) It analyzed the construct operation and the accident, and divided the construction work into three parts: the foundation project, the main project and the decoration project, which can be more pertinency and accuracy.(2) By the comparison to the common used hazard identification methods and the analysis to the FTA, it analyzed the construction enterprise's hazard identification on the basis of each part's FTA.(3) It classified the safety assessment factors in human beings, materials, management and environment, and made the index system, based on the hazard identification.(4) It gave the index weight by AHP metnod, when it confirmed the index weight, it considered the safety assessment factors'structural importance ,the accident rate and the professional's advice to make the judge matrix.(5) It assessed the Chongqing construction enterprise by using the fuzzy comprehensive method, and get satisfactory result.It's a complicated system to get assesstment to construction work place, the research is just a attemption and direction.
