Flight Management System (FMS) is the kernel system of civil avionics. FMS can generate flight path according to the flight plan and navigation database in which the pilot input previously and make the plan fly flow the path. Meanwhile, it could work with ATM, TCAS TAWS and so on and change the flight path when encoutering emergency. FMS is very important in the whole flight process and play a big role in flight of modern planes safely, automaticly and economic.This thesis mainly research on the simulation technology of FMS and developed Flight Mangement Emualtion System (FMES). Flight management function module was constructed which processed core funciton of FMS and operated in an embedded system. Then, the display and control module of FMES was constructed and the communication between the two systems was by means of ARINC429 bus. The main work completed focus on two modules, one is display and control module and the other is data communication module, and at last, the system was integrated. The main work of this paper is as follows.⑴The thesis analyzed the core function and interface of FMS prescribed in ARINC 702 protocol and proposed general framework of the system, and also software, hardware framework.⑵According to the analysis and design of FMS interface, the display and control module of FMES was developed, which completed human interface and execution envrionment of the simulated FMS.⑶A POWERPC development board was chosen to introduce the simulated FMS module under the PPC Linux.⑷Two commercial ARINC429 communication boards were chosen to complete the data transmission between the two moduless. Hierarchical structure was used in the module and USB driver layer, ARINC429 card protocol layer and data transmission layer were developed under PPC Linux operating system.
