Research On Dome Shape Of Harbin Morden Architecture

The construction of Eastern Railway in 1898 gave impetus to the development of Harbin. Taking this opportunity, Harbin completed the transformation from a small village to a modern city. The unique way of its opening as a commercial port, the full implementation of western modern thought of urban planning, and the construction of the new building system representing the western industrial civilization further irritated Harbin transition mode.Under this background, Harbin Modern Architecture (1898 --- 1949) came into being, it is a diversified architecture combined with a number of architectural culture and architecture schools hybrid. As the most existing component of western buildings, dome played a positive and indelible role in the history of modern architecture in Harbin. It not only strengthened the building function and form, but also enriched the building type, enhanced the level of the building, made it more aesthetical and added more gorgeous colors for Harbin as the "Oriental Paris". To Harbin in modern building dome of the different classification as a jumping-off place, under the dome of the basic form and in the urban environment beautiful, and tried to provide Harbin modern architecture of the reference study.Papers were divided into four chapters .In chapter one of this paper, on the basis of Harbin modern history, analysis and interpretation of modern buildings through books and research abroad in Harbin, I pose the corresponding methodology, research framework, and the research scope. In chapter two, I researched the style and feature of Harbin modern dome building; Including Russian, Byzantine, Islamic-style dome dominated the main styles of this period, I analysis these main Features with their style and the representative of the main building in Harbin. In the third part, according to the factors of dome form, I research the basic components of dome, and discussed the deeper elements of the aesthetic form of organization. In the fourth part, according to the aesthetic significance reflected from the dome shape; I researched the effect in three sides, including the form shape of architectural beauty, the creating of city beautiful appearance and the cultural expression, made in the city culture life and environment of the whole city of Harbin.In the conclusion part, I made a summary of the dome of Harbin modern architectural styles, the main features of the dome and the aesthetic construction of the dome, revealed the historical value, cultural value and aesthetic value of the dome in Harbin modern architectural culture, the value has important significance to the creation of the modern city buildings.
