Because of traditional thinking used as the guiding ideology when doing these planning and construction, a series of problems and phenomena appeared in hydrological and ecological systems around the surrounding areas of reservoir. The natural ecological characteristics in reservoir is presented on the basis of the design with nature surround the reservoir region of space planning strategy, which is a kind of transformation thinking. The design with natural thought which is providing a new thinking and approaches for space planning around the surrounding areas of reservoir in this paper is of urban planning and landscape city thought and design with nature's time of application and exploration, continuance and innovation to traditional planning thinking is modified. It provides reference model for planning and constructing the surrounding areas of reservoir. In this article, the author puts forward a method which put three subjects including the hydrology, ecology and urban planning combined together in research. At the same time it provides new basis points for physical space planning and research. Finally this is an important development and supplement on space planning around the surrounding areas of reservoir research field.The study of chongqing urban planning provides a template for mountain towns on planning space of the surrounding areas of reservoir.The article analyzes the hydrological, ecological systems and spatial relationships between regions around the reservoir, and make the spatial analysis of ecological characteristics of the reservoir, it combined with hydrological and ecological system characteristics made a hierarchical division of space around the reservoir area, and space partitioning. This paper uses comparative methods, comparaing the traditional thinking and the transformation of thinking, on the reservoir and around the reservoir area of the spatial understanding of the region surrounding the reservoir design with traditional planning strategies and planning strategy for the natural comparison that should be combined with traditional ecological planning to make targeted amendment.The planning and construction around the reservoir area in Chongqing City, there are some features of destruction of natural ecological phenomena that disrupt the sto-rage reservoirs and rivers, hydrological and ecological systems. In response, take cities and towns for example,hydrological and ecological systems made to respect the environmental characteristics of the ecological system of library construction, reservoir Health spatial structure, urban scale and development intensity, traffic, land use and industrial distribution, infrastructure and disaster planning, space control and other strategies. It proposed to protecte the spatial planning which designed with natural around the surrounding areas of reservoir, to achieve the urban planning system, planning strategy for the implementation and development model.Reservoir and the areas around it is a complex ecosystem which interact with nature, society and economic urban space that is a result of society, economic, nature interacting put reservoir with town as a interact integrity and coordinate town development with nature in the spatial planning. We need develop town by ecology point. Urban space should be combined with the dynamic changes in reservoir characteristics of the natural ecology and spatial planning characteristics. This article taked hydrological as the first in the area around the reservoir impact of spatial planning, and taked hydrology as a fundamental basis of planning strategy. It is to ensure that ecosystem health as a prerequisite of planning strategies. It puts forward strategyis for different space partitions and levels of space of the area around the reservoir, and points that urban planning system, planning implementation and development model is part of spatial planning strategies.
