The autocrane is an important part of the construction machinery; it is one of the indispensable heavy machinery during the large construction. Now, with the rapid development of our country’s economy, the engineering work become more and more, at the same time engineering becomes bigger and more complicated, so the autocrane need more abilities to satisfy these claims. Power system and hoisting system is two basic systems of autocrane, these two system is responsible for the driving and lifting load, the dynamic property and energy consumption of these systems is directly related to the vehicle performance. Based on the two basic system design is completed, firstly, using computer simulation dynamic system and hoisting system, validation the rationality and stability of the whole systems; then, analysis on its dynamic performance and fuel consumption and giving them parameter optimization.In this paper, power and lifting system of the autocrane are the object for research, the following research is made by using AMESim for simulation:1) According to the power performance of vehicle needed as the basic requirement, the basic components of the vehicle, such as engine, clutch, gear box, were matching calculation parameters in order to prepare for model parameter setting.2)Using AMESim builds the vehicle model to verify the rationality of the model by vehicle dynamic performance indicator by simulation to verify the rationality of the model by vehicle dynamic performance indicator by simulation.3)According to the theoretical calculation, multiple combinations of engine and gearbox have been selected to match, choosing the dynamic and fuel economy as the analysis indicators to estimate the results after matching the experience, choose the closest match as the experiment group, then make a simulation for both prototype and new vehicle under different working conditions, the optimized results can be obtained after contrast the dynamic and fuel economy.4)Analyzing the lifting mechanism and the commonly hydraulic circuits. Then, Select reasonable hoisting system schematic diagram. According to the basic parameters of hoisting system, the matching calculation parameter values of the major components in the lifting system, in order to prepare for model parameter setting.5)Using AMESim built lifting hydraulic system model and simulate the two typical working conditions—lifting and falling.Through the energy efficiency for lifting system using the constant delivery pump has been analyzed, the main factors affecting the energy consumption has been found and proposes the corresponding improvement program. Then the variable pump energy saving analysis has been done for hoisting system contrast the lifting system using the constant delivery pump, the result reflect the energy-saving advantages of variable pump, and made energy saving compared with quantitative pump lifting system, reflected the energy-saving advantages of variable pump.
