The rise of Internet of things technology provides a new train of thought and an ideal solution for the realization of electric vehicle charging pile metering system. The charging pile metering system adopting the Internet of Things technology can realize the data sharing and remote management, with characteristics of simple wiring, easy transformation, strong expansibility, convenient maintenance and wide applications range.This paper presents a practical method for the metering system of electric vehicle charging pile in parking lot. First of all, the paper discusses the Internet of Things technology and relevant knowledge about AC charging pile, chooses the ZigBee wireless communication technology to build a network, and makes PC as the system of metering center. It designs a charging pile metering system based on Internet of Things technology, the wireless communication module, RF matching module and communication interface module of hardware circuit, and puts forward the hardware design scheme of the system. Embedded development tools are used to design the procedure of the coordinator node and end device node. After running the program, the end device node can achieve identity authentication through IC card reader and charging control through control module. Besides, it acquires the intelligent instrument function such as power, voltage, current data and wireless transmission at the same time. The PC system mainly includes the design of the metering system software and the database. The design of metering part mainly applies visual studio 2010 development platform and C# language development, aiming at realizing the charging pile metering billing, monitoring electric current, voltage operational status information, user information management and other functions. However, database utilizes SQL Server 2008 software development platform and SQL language to carry on the design, mainly including user information table, consumption form and monitoring data table etc. Moreover, access to the database makes the metering system function available.The remote management test conducts to achieve the basic functions of device. The test results confirm that the device can meet the needs of the system and verify the feasibility of the metering system for electric vehicle charging pile based on Internet of things.
