AbstractIt is described in this paper that a practical fault restoration system is developed for local distribution power system. Such system is based on database, visualization in scientic computing and object-oriented approach. The main content includes:1)Make a database for electrical parts in distribution power system by the way of database.2)Visualize the fault restoration system with visualization in scientic computing, thus a friendly interface for human to computer comes into being.3)Abstract islands-restoration and overload-dealing with object-oriented method, and make their methods for restoration data structure oriented.4)Make normal restoration methods for isloads and overload, and make special ones according to the system network, operation pattern and its requirements.5)Draw a connection diagram of local distribution power system in Fuzhou, and the database matched is built simultaneously. The system is satisfied with the expected.Such system is quite practical, which can be used in different local distribution power system, and it is also of maintainability.
