Allowing its users to easily release desired information and conveniently scan the information on web site. Web is becoming an increasingly important, convenient and powerful means of spreading information in the Internet.Power system, as an industrial system highly integrated with production and management, has been undergoing an exploration in establishing an interconnecting management information system to support the production model which has been enlarging and expanding form provincial to regional and to national network. From this originates the Management Information System (MIS), an internal system which is currently widely used in regional networks. Inter- and intra-nerwork information exchanges, however, are restricted by platforms since the MIS is based on local area networks (LAN). This restriction is particularly obvious in analysing for protection information on the spot the accident of certain converting station operated in the SCADA. In consideration of this point and in view of the demand for opening and publicizing information in power market, this thesis is to explore a way of combining the remote MIS of relay protection with the Internet web so as to develop a scanning-unrestricted remote management information system of relay protection. Currently .development in this field is still in pioneering exploration in China,Management information system of relay protection consists of such modules as equipment management, operation management, statistic analysis, countermeasure and plan management, office management, and technical exchange. To meet the demands from Zitong Power Supply Bureau of Mianyang Electric Power Bureau. Sichuan Province, and drawing chief source from the converting stations of the bureau, the thesis is focused on developing the polling data of the basic parts of the system. The project in line with this thesis has been evaluated by concerned inspectors of the bureau as to be very practical.
