| The thermal power plant coal wheel-feeder works in the underground coal ditch. For a long time it has been excluded from the coal-conveying process control system for the hard working environment, complicated locating system and the difficulty in the adjusting of coal quantity. It is an urgent matter for the coal-conveying system to realize the automatic control of coal wheel-feeder.According to the working environment and feature of coal wheel-feeder, this paper developed a wireless remote monitoring and control system of coal wheel-feeder based on PLC. A new locating system and a new type coal quantity sensor are also brought forward in this paper.This control system can realize the wireless remote control of coal wheel-feeder and the monitoring of the working status of coal wheel-feeder at real time. It is proved by the experimentation that this system has good effect in monitoring and control.
