In coal converying system of the thermal power plant, The impeller coal feeder is only coal converying equipment, which transport the coal to conveyor belt from the chute of the coal unloading ditch. It is important to the safe operation of the thermal power plant coal converying system. Generally, The impeller coal feeder general use local operation mode,. It’s working intensity and inefficient. The impeller coal feeder is working in bad environment. In this paper, we use the PLC and inverter technology to solve these problems, It also composed network control technology, Achieve impeller coal feeder automation control, remote monitoring and alarm management.First, the article describes the impeller coal feeder to the important role of stoker coal-fired power system. Analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of several impeller coal feeder electrical control modes. Combined with years of work experience, Proposed a impeller coal feeder electrical control system.Secondly, this paper describes the impeller coal feeder structure and working principle of the machine, the impeller coal feeder control requirements and function. In response to these requirements, I made the general layout and design of the system. Designed to use the PLC as the core of the remote control system. Using a VVVF for speed control. Design a transit station for bridge, setup both Ethernet and low-voltage power line carrier communication network.Next, in terms of hardware, finished selection and design of the PLC, and design of PLC control system circuit; Design control circuit of VVVF, Low voltage power line carrier device circuit; Design the main circuit and sensor control circuit of control system, etc.Then, in terms of software, Develop local cabinet PLC control programs, Design communications programs between relay station and the local cabinet that based the ASCII protocol, As well as the communications checksum program based the BCC algorithm. Design host computer monitor screen, define communications equipment, constructing a database, define the variable type, etc. Manufacture animation connection for the corresponding parts of the screen animation connection. Finally, run the system to test.The system is running well in the field. The impeller coal feeder operating reliable, speed control smooth and stable, communication data timely and accurate, PC operation is intuitive and easy to operate. The works achieve the functionality of the system design, satisfy the impeller coal feeder remote control system requirements.
