The technology for three-Phase Cycloconverter has broad background in industry application. The common mode of its usage is to convert the shapes of electronic energy with power transistor elements. The conversion of the shapes of the electronic energy include amplitudes ,frequencies, and forms of the voltage or current which can make the shapes of electronic energy suitable for different kinds of electronic equipments. This paper is focused on the study and design of three-Phase Cycloconverter which is related to these technologies: computer control, Semiconductor converter, AC velocity adjustment, single-chip computer application and the computer simulation. Based on the results of the study and design, a system of three-Phase Cycloconverter which is centered to a 16-bit single-chip computer is finished. This system is consisted of these different sub-systems: the main circuit, the control system, input transfer, and three circumfluence reactors. The main circuit is consisted of 18 thyristors circuit and protection circuit. With the help of control subsystem, it can get the output of low frequency voltage (current) with the shape of sine wave; The core of the control subsystem is the CPU of 87C196KC ,and the synchronization circuit, the pulse-widen circuit , and the power-enlarged circuit form the accessorial subsystem of the control system. It possesses all the functions of digital triggering, digital tuning, analog/digital conversion; the input transfer can isolate the input and output; And the circumfluence reactor can reduce the circumfluence. In the design of the system of three-Phase Cycloconverter, the software of MATLAB is used to simulate the system in the whole process. Through the simulation, the electronic circuit and the electronic elements have been defined and the objects of the performances of the three-Phase Cycloconverter are ensured. The system of the three-Phase Cycloconverte in this paper is valuable in the industry application. Compared with the traditional lower frequency electronic generator, the system of the three-Phase Cycloconverter has many advantages which include small size, high efficiency, smart conveniency for maintenance and low noise. One example is the application in the AC hoisting shaft which can help the lift to get to the location to stop accurately, and decrease the shock effectively; In the meantime it saves a large quantity of energy in the process. The three-Phase Cycloconverter can bring us a lot of economic values.
