The speed and effectiveness of development is the key factor to the success of product development。The design for business is the crucial technique in solving the effectiveness of product development. The design for business means that according to the business strategies and the environment around enterprises, the design for business takes into account effects of product designing on the whole business operation, from enterprise business strategies, business structure, the acquisition of orders, product designing, the acquisition of raw materials, the management of inventory, assembly, products packing and transportation, sales, maintaining, reclaiming and payments for goods. This technique overcomes the disadvantages of the former DFX technique, which bases itself on separate aspects of the whole business and can't reach the best solution.The development of the whole enterprise business model is the key factor of the design for business. So manufacturing system design is very important.This article is based on the manufacturing system designing for business of one motor enterprise in ChongQing. It researches the design method for business and the modelling of the enterprise, and designs the manufacturing system of the design for business. This article puts forward the key technique and solution to the design for business, and establishes the model of the whole business activities.* The theory and method about the manufacturing system of the design for business is analysed. The conception of manufacturing system is defined. It is established that the IDEF0 models which support the manufacturing system for business. The theoretic method in system modelling also is analysed.* According to Hall three dimensions structure model, this article researches the designing method about the manufacturing system, and makes an explanation about structure defining and designing, detailed designing of manufacturing system and controlling system designing.
