In order to identify the critical factors that affecting visual inspection on composite damage,a grey nearness analysis method,which is good at dealing with small sample and poor information,is adopted.A modified new grey nearness incidence model,taking into account the experimental data features,is established by improving the original model.With the help of the proposed model,primary and secondary factors are identified.Moreover,relevant suggestions are provided for future work about visual inspection on damage of composite materials.The specific content of this paper is stated as follows:(1)Definition of factors affecting visual inspection on composite damage.Relevant affecting factors are defined according to pratical results of visual inspection.Experimental datas,measured under different inspection conditions,are sorted.Afterwards,the system behavior sequence and relevant factor sequence are also defined.Preparations are made for the next data analysis through grey nearness incidence model.(2)Investigation on the applicability of new grey nearness incidence model.Due to the limitation of using the original model to solve problems about damage inspection,a modified model is proposed based on features of experimental datas about visual inspection on composite damage,in order to fulfill the data features obtained by experiments well.(3)Investigation on incidence among inspection times,detection times and affecting factors of visual damage inspection.A modified new grey nearness incidence model is selected to analysis values of the incidence.According to the calculated results,the incidence is sorted to identify primary and secondary affecting factors.(4)Suggestions for the work about visual inspection on composite damage.The incidence matrix is formed by incidence results among inspection times,detection times and affecting factors of visual inspection.Then,this matrix is analyzed by both incidence and advantage analysis.Taking analysis results as references,primary and secondary factors are identified.Relevant suggestions are provided for future work about visual inspection on damage of composite materials.
