Urban water-supply system is the urban lifeline. It supply the water for production and life and play the key role in the urban development, in the same time it also is the main elements which affect the social stable.Having gone through the basis and developing stages in our country, the urban water-supply system is entering the advanced stage. Except for the limited of water resource and such objective factors, most of cities have made balance' between supply and demand. In Hubei province the urban water-supply system was built in 1906. Through many years of development, the comprehensive water-supply capacity had achieved to 14,280,000m3/d in 1998. Now the system is becoming better and approaching perfection day by day.In Wuhan, the urban water-supply capacity is staving, the staff member is more, and the technology level is high. By the time of 2000's end, the urban water-supply capacity was up to 3,030,000m3/d, which was abided at the No.3 of the Water-Supply Line in the Countrywide. At the primness of 1990s, Wuhan got started on utilizing the oversea-loan and bringing in the advanced facilities and technology. By strengthen digesting and absorbing, the collectivity level stood the first in Hubei province, and came out top in our countrywide. So for as the urban water-supply capacity be concerned, the four cities of Hubei province that Huangshk Yichang, Xiangfan and Jingzhou are all differently. The total of the two former is 340,000 m /d, which is a half of the two latter. But in the main, the level of management, the making of employee and the production technology aresameness between the four cities. The other cities of Hubei province are all less than the above four cities one or two ranks. In this paper we adopt the Grey theory, multivariate regression and annul improvement rate and so on to forecast the whole province's comprehensive water-supply capacity and total annual water requirement in the future to 2005 and 2010. The conclusion is that in 2005 the comprehensive water-supply capacity is 22,600,000m3/d and in 2010 it is 31,400,000m3/d, the total annul water requirement is 6,400,000m3/d.
