China has made a great progress since 1980s. However, when the economy ofour country is progressing rapidly, the damage to the historic building and historiccity is much heavier than anytime before reformation and the static protection is unfitfor the new pattern. So the historic district must be conserved dynamically to make aneffective conservation. This paper is divided into seven chapters. In the first chapter, the behavior, thecause, the disadvantage and the hazard of the static protect which is now used toconserved the historic district of our country are studied. In the second chapter, the author mentions the evolvement of conserve theory tothe historic district in the foreign and the domestic. The author brings the concept ofdynamic conservation and explains the meaning of dynamic in the dynamicconservation. Furthermore, the cause that historic district must be conserveddynamically is analyzed in this chapter. In the third chapter, the frame of dynamic conservation to the historic district isbrought. The author classifies the conservation to the historic building by the standardof dynamic conservation. The author presents a new harmony mode between the oldbuilding and the new building—the fuzziness design theory while people used tothink that there are only two mode—harmony and contrast. This paper, from theviewpoint of urban design, analyzes the dynamic conservation to the landscape of thehistoric district. Furthermore, this paper deals with the dynamic conservation to theinfrastructure and discusses how to relieve the pressure of historic districtconservation. In the fourth chapter, this paper presents some pertinent ideas and advices aboutthe exploiture policy, fund source and invest policy in the dynamic conservation tothe historic district. In the fifth chapter, the author presents some rules which we must obey when thehistoric district is conserved dynamically. In the sixth chapter, this paper analyzes the influence factor of human being inthe dynamic conservation to the historic district . In the last chapter, two historic district conservation project in which the theoryof dynamic conservation is carried out are presented.
