With the development of economic and society, mobile telemonitor is accepted by people little by little. A terminal for ECG telemonitoring is proposed in this paper. The terminal is suitable for telemonitoring because of its small designing, low power consuming, ability of anti-interference and mobile operating . The terminal consists of the active electrodes for ECG, central unit and the unit for tele-communication mainly.By designing of active electrodes, the quality of the signal is improved effectively. Research on the designing of active electrodes has not been carried out yet in china. Placing the amplifier at the electrodes in the design of active electrodes, the interference caused by the lines between the amplifiers and the electrodes is eliminated . Microelements are used in the central unit to make the terminal small-size,especial the microprocessor of MSP430. Besides the its size, the microprocessor integrates many function modules into the chip, such as ADC12,UART and so on. So the peripheral parts are not need any more, which makes the unit simplified .The design of active electrodes, moving the amplifier to the front electrode, simplifies the central unit further. Low power consumption is important for the module to work for a long time. The microprocessor MSP430, low power consuming, is adopted to convert and detect the ECG signal. The microprocessor MSP430 is battery operated for an extended-application and gives some low power modes for user to choose. The microprocessor sends the data packaged to the unit of communication. Telecommunication is completed by the unit of communication which is connected to the net of China Mobile.Soft of detecting of ECG in a real time based on differential coefficient in the microprocessor is designed. The accuracy ration arrived the request for ECG monitoring. Accounting for alleviating the burden of transmission and reducing the consumption of the system, the unit of communication is woken up from standby mode only when alarm signal is met. With the development of the economic and improvement of the hardware of communication, Mobile telemonitoring will be mature and the cause of telemedicine will be prosperous in our country...
