Base adapter dismantlement machine is one of the main modernized instruments for equipment test. The design method of Base adapter dismantlement machine is stated in this paper.The main content of this paper is following. The blue print of base adapter dismantlement machine is put forward and the collectivity configuration, which is consist of mechanism, control system and hydraulic system, is stated. According to the characteristic of different projectile and base adapter, pin type tool, eccentric type tool and cuneal type clamp are designed and mainly studied. The principles of hydraulic system are designed and the main organs are chosen. A computer control system is put forward, which PLC is used as core of control system and IPC is used as supervisory control computer. At the end of this paper, the reliability with FTA method is analyzed and the way of improving the reliability is presented.The special characteristics of the base adapter dismantlement machine are followings. It can dismantle all types of base adapter relating to the test. It is more secure because it can automatically examine failures, such as breaking or skid of the pin. Operator is separated from the machine and can avoid being hurt when contingency occur. It is more automatic because all the processes can be done automatically except for several assistant processes. It has reasonable mechanical structure and the technology used in the control system is mature so the machine is more reliable. Many measures are adopted to ensure the reliability of the machine.Base adapter dismantlement has an important impulse in the process of equipment test modernization.
