A Study On Strategic Planning Of Urban System Development:Its Theories, Methods And Practice

Urban system planning is a type of planning which regulated by law, but its content is not suitable for the demand of society nowadays because of the new background. Based on this point, this dissertation puts forward a new type of planning, namely strategic planning of urban system development.In chapter one, firstly, some concept is introduced, then a literature review is carried out, covering the books and articles on the urban system study and planning. Secondly, the background of the new type of planning is expatiated. At last, the structure of this dissertation is given, involves framework, methodology and study area.Based on the conception of strategic planning of urban system development, chapter two expounds its basic theories, mainly about the relationship between the regional development and spatial structure, theories about the economic structure adjustment and theories about the reorganization of spatial structure.By using the methods of making regional development strategy for reference, also consulting the way of city strategic planning, chapter three brings forward the methods of strategic planning of urban system, and then compares it with the counterpart of making development strategy in urban system planning.Step by step, chapter four presents the frame of strategic planning of urban system development, explaining the details at the same time.Chapter five, namely the practice part of this article, analysis the flow of the new type of planning by strategic planning of urban system development of Lingchuan county, Guilin.Last chapter sums up this dissertation.
