The Research Of Electronic Toll Collection System On Expressway

In this paper, Electronic Toll Collection system (ETC) is discussed and studied, which can collect toll automatically by Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) between roadside aerial and ETC tag, it needn't parking and personnel.Main research content:1. On the base of learning ETC's structure and work principle,combined with reality, I designed an ETC MIS by Visual Basic 6.0 and SQLServer 2000 (Include database, structure of the system and application operation);2. Combined with the network tolling system in our country at present, I analyzed the problem, the trend and the possibillity in ETC;3. Combined with the condition of our country, I put forward an toll collection pattern-two- piece ETC tag and dual interface IC card.Problems will be settled:1. In ETC MIS , inquire interface should be perfected;2. Some function in ETC MIS has not realized , only list some interface,that should be completed;3. We should test the stability and reliability in the practice , So that we popularize ETC's application henceforth.
