Electronic parking charge system (Electronic Toll Collection, ETC) is mainly used in the field of intelligent transportation (ITS) what is is working on the development and application in the highway, urban road, bridge and tunnel electronic automatic charging system. The researchers are trying to explore and spread it in our country. In order to achieve automatic recognition for vehicle, and automatically deducted from the user’s special account tolls, so as to realize electronic toll collection. It mainly used the road unit what is installed on the toll station and installed on the vehicle electronic tags for wireless communication and information exchange. Because of its unique advantages, the ETC system will play an important role in the future of the ITS. Based on the above background, after studying ETC development status at home and abroad, This paper studied the ETC system several RF module and the realization of the hardware circuit system.In this article first introduced the ETC system simply. Then analyzes the DSRC technology standardization and the current situation in dynamic and development trend of the ETC in the domestic and foreign. And put forward the current domestic problems existing in the operation ETC. Second, according to the domestic technical standard (ETC), using ADS2008RF circuit simulation software simulation and optimization of an application in microwave receiving module of the ETC system. The microwave receiving module is LNA that has many Characteristics low noise coefficient, high performance, low cost, two slopes united, and all the indexes is superior to the requirements of the system performance. And a simulation optimization used in radio frequency receiving the superheterodyne receiver, has obtained the good simulation results and corresponding used in the system of the microstrip antenna and the simulation test, and achieved good results.Then, In chapter three we put forward the hardware design scheme of this system, based on DSRC protocol of the ETC system, the radio frequency part has carried on the real engineering research and design of low cost, practical5.8GHz radio frequency part of the ETC system in a number of microwave circuit module, then used the MSP430F149chip, ML5800, BK5822and chip constituted the RFID system.This system mainly is divided into two parts:one is the car unit (OUB), this paper mainly introduced the communication coding mode and5.8GHz emission principle. And design the car wake up circuit. The second is designed the RSU unit, data storage, serial ports unit and the signal coding emission, motor control, power supply module, etc. Then through the software to realize the communication of the RFID system. Finally, analysis and the introduction other aspects of this system. and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the system.
