Experimental Research On The Properties Of Semi-rigid Bituminous Emulsion

Bitulith widely used in pavement of highway is of the characteristic of fluidity. A little emulsoid was added in the bitulith to improve the performance of asphalt pavement.The new material is of rigidity and flexibility. We called it semi-rigid bituminous emulsion.The paper simply introduced the making method of the semi-rigid bituminous emulsion. The best percentages of the component parts of the new material was found in the experiments.. We measured its mechanical properties and did the test on its stableness.The results of the experiments and analysis show that the semi-rigid bituminous emulsion has advantage to the bitulith.
