| The thesis is a part of "Study of yunnan's Religious Architecture" which is presided by my tutor Pro. Yang Da-yu. This thesis emphasizes the characteristics' analysis and preservation and development of temple garden in Yunnan.The thesis studies temple garden's environment in Yunnan preliminarily at the angle of formation art and environment design, and starts from analyzing the tourist function of religious architecture.The first chapter explains the concept of temple garden's environment, sets forth the ideological basis and material base to produce the temple garden's environment, analyzes the, and puts forward its five features: having double functions of religion and communication, having favorable conditions of free address selection and rich material to form scene, having large special capacity, having historical and cultural connotation, and having flexible arrangement and varied style. The second chapter expounds the forming and development of temple garden in Yunnan, sums up Yunnan's characteristics from natural environment, cultural feature, and national appreciation of fhe beauty, laying a foundation for the next chapter. The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of the temple garden's environment in Yunnan from five aspects: address selection, group arrangement, spatial treatment, artistic conception's construction, and single architecture, giving Mt. Weibao, Mt. Jizu, xingjiao temple, and yuantong temple for example. In the forth chapter, the thesis puts forward some positive measures for the preservation and development of temple garden in Yunnan, for example, cultural location for exploitation, factuality principle, and social cooperation and improvement of humane background. The appendix is the Florence Charter that is aimed at historical gardens' preservation; it is worth studying and inquiring into. And it can be using for reference in the preservation and development of temple garden in Yunnan. |
