Tentatively Research On The Characteristics Of Mountain Buddhist Temple Garden In Shanxi And Its Protection And Utilization

Buddhist temple garden is an important part of Chinese traditional gardensystem. Especially the architect doing the mountain temple gardening design ina Chinese traditional way, combines religious culture and the real environmentconditions. Due to the surface topography in Shanxi is complicated, and themountain buddhist temple gardens are numerous and various, at the same timethe natural geography and social cultural background of shanxi are veryparticular, Shanxi mountain buddhist temple garden has strong localcharacteristics This paper mainly aiming at shanxi mountain buddhist templegarden, carries on the research of its formation, distribution, site selection,construction, plants, plant shape, space and many other aspects. From theperspective of landscape architecture, the research combines religion, landscape,architecture, planning and other disciplines. Then the research will put forward asuggestions for the corresponding protection and exploitation, as a furthercomplement to previous studies.The whole text can be divided into six chapters. The Chapter I is the introduction, expounding the purpose of the study, background, significance,purpose and method. The Chapter II discussing the buddhist gardens and themountain buddhist temple garden. This part did some nalysis bout hespread of Buddhism in China as well as the basis of the formation anddevelopment of the buddhist temple garden landscape, and then discussed thecauses of the formation of mountain buddhist temple garden, summarized thecharacteristics of the buddhist temple garden, laying theoretical foundation forlater study. The Chapter III is analyzing the formation and development ofshanxi mountain buddhist temple garden, studying how the two aspects ofnatural environment and social cultural influence the factors of shanxi montanicbuddhist temple garden, and then the distribute the summarize on the formationand development of the buddhist temple garden. The Chapter IV expounding thelocation, architectural features, vegetable planting, road paving, space, shapeand other aspects of shanxi mountain buddhist temple garden from theperspective of landscape elements.
