With the improvement of the standard of living, motorcycles have been acting as a more and more important role in people's daily life. At the same time the quality requirements of the products become higher. The annual output of motorcycle in China has become first of the world, but the performance of products has not reached the corresponding level and the capabilities of design of the product still need to be improved. In this paper the basic theory of the realization of the virtual prototyping technology of the parts of motorcycle was discussed and the analysis software tool applied was introduced. The static analysis, modal analysis, special condition analysis, transient analysis during its working process and fatigue analysis of the main frame were done. Based on the analysis result, evaluated the construction strength and fatigue strength of the main frame. And the reason of the result came out to be such was discussed. Based on its mechanism, the opinion to improve the performance of the main frame was presented. Method to improve it was presented. And the construction strength and fatigue strength of the improved frame achieved the design requirements. By harmonic analysis, the vibration performance of the main frame was discussed and some development was done. In addition, the static analysis, modal analysis, transient analysis during its working process and fatigue analysis of the rear arm of the type of motorcycle were done. The analysis result indicated that the construction strength and fatigue strength of the rear arm both met the requirements to use and there would not be problems about strength and fatigue. We optimized the rear arm , and made it lighter.Through the research and application of the virtual prototyping technology on the analysis of the main frame and rear arm of the type of motorcycle, the procedure to take out the virtual prototyping technology was concluded, the methods of the realization of the virtual prototyping technology and the problems that should be paid attention to was discussed, and the problems that could be solved through the virtual prototyping technology in projects were discussed.
