As a foundation engineering of hydroelectric key project, road engineering takes a quietly important role in its construction and operation. At present, road in hydroelectric key project almost adopts the construction material design method and construction technology of general road. Because of bad environment of operation and construction, varies vehicles and heavy load, it requires large investment and high level standard, even if it is temporary road. Otherwise, it would result in difficulty in maintenance and high expense and serious loss of vehicles if excavated and exposed the road surface or adopted mud and sand road surface. Especially during preparing phrase of the engineering, sand and stone system is not built, which require a large quantity of sand and stone from outside, which lead to high expenses of materials and transportation. On the other hand, rock ballast from other preparing engineering of the hydroelectric key project such as diversion tunnels, traffic tunnels and so on, must be transported off, which aren't made good use of and add up investment of environment protection. It springs up a new problem that if there is a new road which can make use of the ballast compatible with the bad environment and ensure safe operation, even reduce the construction cost.Wuhan University and Wuhan Road Materials Ltd invent a new type of inorganic glue consolidator, so-called High Strength and Water Stability Earth Consolidator, dubbed HEC, can solidify the ballast, sand gravel and soil, which supports material base for this kind of road. Therefore, this paper is o f s ignificance and p ractical value o n H EC c oncrete r oad e ngineering design and construction technigue research connecting with the characteristics of hydroelectric key project.Firstly, this paper raises appropriate strategy for waterfront electricalpivot road engineering construction, thorough comparing foreign and native road surface engineering design and construction technology exclusively, especially analyzing the economic problem in construction, according to the characteristics of hydroelectric key project.This paper points out HEC concrete road engineering design, mixture ratio design formula and method, elastic module and anti-mold strength extent, extend the grain size to 80mm, mud content to 8%, basing on summarizing road engineering design and HEC cement's technology characters.Meanwhile, basing on summarizing road engineering design, the author works out construction technology t, quality control method, acceptance technology and inspection criterion suitable for HEC cement, specially gives the relationship of slice time to strength and early curing control.The author carried on HEC-RCCP road engineering experiments on Pubugou hydropower station in JC, JL road section and comprehensively practiced and inspected design theory, method and construction technology of the HEC-RCCP road engineering. The inspecting results of the section of road sufficiently show rationality and practicability, and at the same time the author summarized some attentive problems in analogical engineering.The author completed the field casting experiments of HEC concrete road and spread construction technique of 30.67km on Tianwan hydropower station input road. By acceptance of owner and supervisor, three section of 30.67km road are all excellent and the quality amounts to expectant aims, which proves the design theory, method and construction technology is reasonable and feasible.In the end the author summarizes and analyzes synthetically and illustrates the advances of technology and economic of the HEC concrete road engineering and the characteristics of convenient to construction andvehicles can be operated ahead. Demonstrate that HEC has economic advantages and operate ahead of time; finally, it is suggested to spread this technology rapidly in hydropower station and local road engineering.
