Research On Building Reclaimed Water In Chongqing Region

Reclaimed water appeared in our country during 1980s, it have been accepted by the people of water-short city and areas in recent 20 years, but it is a newborn thing, in order to develop or extend in Chongqing areas. The paper mainly study and summary in following aspects:1) Besides its common ground to overall country, water is seriously polluted in Chongqing. The water quality of Yangtze River and Jailing River, through Chongqing areas, is anxious.63.1% of sub-river can't meet the function of water area, more than 1/4 losed fuctions of use by and large. In addition, the rate of treatment for wastewater is very low, water-short for low quality is increasingly serious.2) The terrain and ground feature is comparatively complicated. At the same time, topography is large. The pump head of water collection is high, so the net cost is high, too. Moreover, water source is polluted seriously, the cost of producing drinking water is increasing. Groundwater is mainly distributed in west hilly country, the exploitation cost is high, therefore, it is difficult to apply.3) Chongqing areas will put reclaimed water into practice, adopting "minimum of waste" policy, to improving water environment and being sustainable development. It also meets up-to-date environmental protection requirement.4) At present, residential sub-district in Chongqing areas has formed certain scale.housing is privately owned, and estate management is springing up and perfecting, furthermore, the treatment technology of reclaimed water is expanding quickly, its cost declines gradually. So the condition for building reclaimed water system has provided, and is perfecting increasingly.5) The paper analyses the reason why reclaimed water has not been thought much, using benefit-cost ratio method. If hotels and large buildings adopt reclaimed water system, they can save about 40%~50% water consumption, and drainage volume can reduce 35%~50%, during the preliminary period, it will act as demonstration project. The residential sub-district can save 30%~40% water consumption, and drainage volume can reduce 35%~50%, it is woryhy of extending. Reclaimed water will bring about favourable social and environmental benefit, while construction tends to green and ecology,so building reclaimed water system has been a development direction of water and wastewater.6) Reclaimed water is related to economic, environmental and social benefit,it can save urban tap water marginal cost,building and operation cost of sewage facility,increasing national financial revenue and eliminating pollution.7) Building reclaimed water system is a newborn thing in Chongqing areas, in order to develop or extend it in the area, the paper brings forword proposal from such aspects as policy and law, technology regulation, development planning and management method.
