With the development of laser technology, precision mechanical technology and electronic technology, the product which combine optics, mechanism and electronics has been one of the most important product in the hi-tech industry. Laser scan technology is always active and Laser Scan Micrometer is one of the long-life products that developing with the science and technology. Laser scan micrometer is of characteristics as non-contact, high accurate, fast response. It is widely used in line-like material production. Most laser scan micrometers are made in America, Japan or Germany, but seldom in China. So, this paper determines to develop laser scan micrometer on the high start point.In this paper, a detailed theoretical and experimental study on laser scan micrometer has been described. The Characteristics as well as the design features of K-Theta lens in laser scanning measurement system has been analysed. The linearity analysis of laser scanning measurement has been presented.The paper analyses optical and circuit system of laser scan micrometer. And high-level laser scan micrometer has been developed.Our laser scan micrometer measure 1,800 time per second. The speed of scanning beam is 176m/s. The accuracy is ±3 micros.This technic is fit for precise auto measure and far distant measure,especially,it's fit for elastomer,high temperature and radiate object.Laser scan micrometer is a type apply in precise measure of optical scan tech.From the development of laser scan micrometer,along with the advance of technology,laser scan measure tech receives progress,especially,with the progress of laser tech and micro-electronics and computer tech,laser scan measure tech should change with each passing day.
