Fused Deposition Modeling has great value not only in science, but also inthe industry application. The spray head system is very important in thistechnology, but there are few reports on it by reason of some aspects.Furthermore my school has owned FDM of Stratasys, so the study on the sprayhead system will make for the development and application of this technology. Two aspects were studied mainly in this paper, one was the structure ofspray head system and the way to process the nozzle, the other was the analysisof flow in the spray. Based on the study of polymer performance, the calculating formula ofdriving force by friction was given by analyzing the grooved friction-gearinstruction, in which a spring was used as a precondition. Considered all kinds of processing on micro-holes which had the similardiameters with nozzle in FDM, the laser processing was chosen. These diametersprocessed were 0.2mm, 0.25mm and 0.3mm and every kind of micro-holes wasprocessed three times. Then the roughness was measured by a profiler of Taylor-6and verified by a reflecting microscope which amplifying coefficient is 450. In addition, the flow resistance in spray head was discussed. It was alsoanalyzed by ANSYS. It indicted that the reduced pressure was matched in thegiven nozzle. The distribution of velocity, pressure and viscosity was also given.
