Research On Technologies For Effectiveness Evaluation Of Air-To-Air Combat Weapon And Equipment System

To evaluate the effectiveness of air-to-air combat Weapon and Equipment (W&E) plays a very important and positive role in the development of Air Force W&E, which include evaluating W&E combat effectiveness by quantitative analysis, finding the combat capability disparities among different air-to-air W&E systems, as well as analyzing the critical factors to air-to-air W&E system effectiveness. The analysis results of effectiveness evaluation can offer powerful support to the decision of emphasis and direction to W&E construction. This thesis focuses on technologies taken to evaluate the effectiveness of air-to-air W&E systems.The analysis and assessment technologies at home and abroad on effectiveness of air-to-air W&E were studied and some main problems were analyzed. The differences and relations of W&E combat capability and combat effectiveness were discussed and the definition of combat capability and combat effectiveness were brought forward. The inscape and its relations of air-to-air W&E combat capability were analyzed, and an air-to-air W&E combat capability targets system was built up. The models used to standardize W&E targets in tactics and techniques were studied. Two kinds of aggregate relations in combat capability targets were analyzed, and the corresponding aggregate models were worked out. The methodologies on dealing with the W&E numbers were discussed as well. The decomposition of the combat process was analyzed. Air-to-air W&E combat effectiveness targets were introduced. The Two-Step Adjudication Model and the Random Combat Model used to calculate the effectiveness of the air-to-air combat stage were studied and the applications of the models were discussed. At last, based on the analysis of influences of the critical factors in some real cases, the emphasis and direction to W&E construction were discussed.
