Study And Development On The Automatic Design Of Pumping Station

At present, many contents for design of pumping station such as selection of pump types, determination of building size, determination and check of operating points of pump and calculation of structures are completed by manual work. And common platform of AutoCAD is used when making the draw of engineering. It takes much more time to design. In order to improve efficiency, it is necessary to develop automatic software according to the characteristics of pumping station.In this thesis, the software is developed by Visual Basic,Microsoft Access, Word and AutoCAD under Microsoft Windows in order to finish automatic design and draw of pumping station. In the software there are ten modules, including calculation of parameters, selection of pump types, determination of main pumping station buildings' size, pumping station determination and check of the operating points of pump, stability analysis of pumping house, calculation of the quantity of materials of building, design manual, drawing, database maintenance and help.In detail, design capacity and character head of pumping station are determined in the module of calculation of parameters. The type of pumping house and size of inlet structure and outlet structure are determined in the module of determination of main pumping station buildings' size. The check of the operating points of pump is determined in order to check the economy and safety in the operation of pumping station in the module of determination and check of the operating points of pump. The determination of load and the check of the safety of resisting infiltration, resisting slip, resisting float and ground foundation stress are made in the module of stability analysis of pumping house. Design manual is written from the calculated results in the module of design manual. The quantities of materials, such as the reinforced concrete, concrete, dry-laid stone and sand, are budgeted in the module of calculation of the quantity of materials of building. The layout plans and elevation drawing of pumping house and the inlet structure and outlet structure are draw in the module of drawing. Database depositing the production style of pump station are administrated and the data of pump production can be modified, added or deleted in the module of database maintenance. The user manual is provided in the module of help.The software is applied for the design of middle and small scale of irrigation and drainage pumping station and qualified for preliminary design basically. The man-computer interface of the software is friendly. . In the software, intelligent promotion by expert knowledge in the process of design can help one design effectively and smoothly.
