Virtual Prototype is the essentially realization of physical Prototype. Relative to the traditional simulation model, Virtual Prototype emphasis on the utility and system. Using Virtual Prototype can make a design of innovation, testing, evaluation, shorting the developing product period, reducing the cost, improving the product quality, and enhancing the ability of an enterprise to face clients and fast response to the market. Virtual Prototype is a new digital design method, including the advanced modeling and simulation method, modern information technology, advanced manufacture and designing technology, and management technology, by using these advanced technology to the product lifecycle, to attain a synthesis management.With a rapid growth of country economy, there are more and more requirements of highway transportation, heavy truck is widely applied because of it's complex structure and variable kinds of production, it plays a important role in our country economy. Because the working condition of heavy truck is usually bad, there are many bend road, slope road, swerving with small radius, turning and braking with a high frequency ,and heavy truck is also used under the condition of full-load, vibration and striking, the vibration of chair is usually intensity. So, advanced suspension technology is widely researched and applied on heavy truck . many heavy trucks use a special cab mounting system between cab and chassis, such as full-floating cab mounting, half-floating cab mounting, hydraulic mounting and air-spring mounting.The NVH study aimed to improve the vehicle comfortableness is an important study task . CAE technology based finite-elements and multi-body dynamics is an important and useful method to study the vehicle NVH characteristics. The perfecting CAE technology and computer technology progress give a good condition for vehicle NVH modeling and computing. Now the study to vehicle comfortableness in the world is widely applied multi-body dynamics, this method is adapt to model the institution with complex space restriction, it's more sophisticated compared with that modeling which is build by the method based of some centralized particles. In this article, Virtual Prototype technology is used to investigate practical design and analysis of a vehicle, aim to the cab mounting system vibration problems when driving. To find the reason, the structure of vehicle, cab mounting system, driving conditions and etc were all taken into consideration in vehicle kinematics analysis.Using the multi-body dynamic software ADAMS to build an automobile vibration model and road model by the virtual typing technology, and using the MATLAB software to take a post treatment, simulate the response characteristic of vehicle body. By modeling and simulating the vehicle model to investigate cab mounting system factor, and to give a analysis on these factors, combing with the practical vehicle test, in the end to find some reference opinions to improving the cab mounting system.Computer simulation method plays more and more important action, this method have a big influence to improve our motor design level. The study in this article is a good try and research of using virtual prototype in vehicle design and analysis.
