On The Architectural Gestal

Gestalt psychology is one of the ten important psychology genre. Gestalt is a important term that come from psychology. Gestalt means A experiencal whole organized by aesthesia activity. There are three purpose in Chapter 2 .one is to clarify the conception of Gestalt and to clear the incomplete understand about Gestalt . the second is to explain the basic spirit of Gestalt psychology and reduces the main theory to the law of Pragnanz, the law of figure and background and the law of apperception constancy as three central principles.the last is to induce the Rudolf Arnheim's research on Gestalt theory applicationing in the art , making a conclusion of several principals of Gestalt psychology in the art field and find.the relations between the principals of art and psychology. Chapter3, 4, 5 are the emphases of this essay, the part of this thesis deduces the Gestalt psychology principal from psychology field to architecture, Chapter3, 4 based on some essential principle of Gestalt Psychology analyses formal construction and spatial solution in architecture while analyses the Gestalt phenomenon within architectures .the purpose of Chapter 5 is to point out architecture representation is in the category of Gestalt, to find out the Gestalt mental rules in imago representation and to sum up some design principia of imago representation. This paper emphasizes both on the instance analysis and illustration.
