Considering the current production situation at the processing workshop of DHI Gear Reducer Plant, the assembly pull production model is built up, and scheduling algorithm for week capacity balance is designed. The JIT management software system is developed, which works stably in the practice, and meets the demands of job management.At first, the JIT system and the implementation method are researched, including the kanban management method and the stabilize production which are broadly used in JIT system, as well as a heuristic scheduling algorithm is researched.Then, the job management model of DHI Gear Reducer Plant is summarized. DHI Gear Reducer Plant is a typical MTO manufacturer, which is multi-specification, small batch and complex product configuration. So it is difficult to control by hand. In order to solve these problems, kanban system is applied, and electronic kanban is used instead of traditional kanban, and assembly planning is added in scheduling algorithm as a constraint, during the job management, assembly task guides the job delivery. Based on those, the pull production model is built up.Based on the pull production model, the applied software is programmed with VB and SQL server. In order to make use of advantage of server and improve performance of system, the complex algorithm is realized in database.An example of using this system is given, and some of key flow of the job management is discussed. The implementation status in DHI Gear Reducer Plant and some experience of JIT's application are summarized.The sysytem has taken the place of the management by hand, and solved many management problems. The practice of this system proves that the pull production model and the application fit the situation of DHI Gear Reducer Plant.In the end of the paper, the author makes conclusions and presents the further research plan.
