A Study On Qiliping Town Of Hong'an County In Hubei

This case study is on Qiliping Town in Hong'an, one sub-topic of "The Study on Traditional Residence in Hubei Province". It is also one part of "China-Japan's Cooperative Study on the Streets of Ancient Town in Hubei Province" cooperated with Japan and one part of "The Study on Conversation and Utilization's Mode and Method of Ancient Town in Hubei Province" founded by Wuhan University of Technology. From the point view of regional town, combined with the study information, my paper has a foundational study on town pattern, historic district form and architectural features, probe the strategy of Qilipingi town conversation and development.The paper is composed of seven chapters. The first chapter is introduction. The content from the second chapter to the sixth one is the main body of the paper. They discusses the development of the historical process of Qiliping town a, the space organization of the town, historic district of ancient town, the building of ancient town. Finally, the paper presents the conception for the protection and development of the town and the historic district. The seventh chapter draw a conclusion and present the further study on the street.The first chapter is introduction of the study. It presents the purpose, meaning, object, content, method, routine of the research in historical block and the present condition of the ancient streets and towns.The second chapter introduces the general situation of Qiliping town. Then the studies emphasizing the developed process of ancient town from the natural environment, traffic, economy factor and revolution.The third chapter introduces the space form of Qiliping town, and analyzes the space characteristic of the ancient town and the course of space evolvement.The forth chapter deeply analyzes the space structure of the historic district as "one main and four subordination" by the point of view of urban design and analyze the sight of district, the scale of district. After this, the chapter explores the interaction between the human's behaviors and the street space. Finally, the paper deeply introduce the main street of historic district.The fifth chapter classifies the buildings in the district with the principles of function and space arrangement and analyzes patio and courtyard .Then , the paper analyzes the plant layout, architecture structure, building construct and regional building. At last , Select three typical traditional buildings as the samples to probe into its features in the aspects of history evolution, space form, plane layout and decoration.Based on analyzing the actuality of Qiliping town and Historic district and the result of questionnaire, the sixth chapter advance the conception of the conservation and development plan for Qiliping town and Historic district with the guidance of the results of the previous studies.The seventh chapter draws a conclusion for this paper and suggests the deeper study on the historic district.
