| This topic come from the cooperative project studied by Wuhan University of Technology and Kanagawa University of Japan: "China-Japan's Cooperative Study on the Streets of Historic Town in Hubei Province"and"The Study on Conservation and Utilization's Mode and Method of Historic Town in Hubei Province'Tublished by Wuhan University of Technology, in the same breath this case study is a part of the Projecf'The Study on Traditional Residence in Hubei Province"of the Construction Department of Hubei Province, this case is the study of the historic towns in Hubei Province.As the analysis case studies of historic town, this thesis based on the studies of the historic town in Hubei Province, Xiaohe town which has the history of more than 900 years, from the aspect of architecture and urban design, combining with geography, sociology and the knowledge of other several subjects, we try to go deep into the mysteries of the historic town. Here we mainly use three means: investigation, survey analysis and comparison analysis, start with the studies of the current situation of Xiaohe town and interrelated historical materials, discover the development principle and evolvement principle of historic town, explore the features and connotation of the site choice, space, street structure, and the architecture feature of Xiaohe town,then and more master the fashion of traditional inhabitation a region in Hubei, unearth the history and cultural connotation of historic town, and carry forward the feature of region tradition, history and culture, then bring forward the most suitable blue print of conservation and development of historic town.The paper is composed of seven chapters.The first chapter is introduction.The content from the second chapter to thee sixth one is the main body of the paper. It discusses the development of the historical process of the town, the site choice, space, street structure, and the architecture feature in the town.Finally,the paper presents the conception for the protection and debelopment of the town.The seventh chapter draw a conclusion and present the further study on the historic town. |
