As the development of modern advanced manufacturing system and technologies as soon asit comes to the world, the paper summarizes characteristics and concepts of Holon , HMS and VE. Holonic manufacturing is a highly distributed control paradigm based on a kind ofautonomous and cooperative entity called "holon". A virtual enterprise (VE) is a temporarycoalition of distributed, autonomous and cooperative member enterprise(ME) and itsorganizational architecture has typical features of holonic systems. In this paper, we present somestudies on the application of the holonic manufacturing paradigm to virtual enterprise control. The work presented in the thesis is also composed of a preference restrain cone DEA model.Numerical example shows the effectiveness of such model used in partner selection of a virtualenterprise.
