Research On The Design And Implementation Of ARINC 429 Communication Bus Based On PC/104

ARINC 429 digital information transmission specification is one of the data information transmission standards among the airborne equipments, which at present is used extensively in aviation industrial departments of our country. For the sake of communicating with airborne equipments by the 429 bus at the working site, the ARINC 429 bus data communication system based on embedded PC/104 hardware platform is needed to realize. On the basis of describing the communication specification of ARINC 429, the standard and the module application of PC/104, the text has proposed the design plan of the communication interface of ARINC 429 based on of PC/104 system. At first, the function and the application of each module of the system and the operation principle of high-performance CMOS bus interface circuit HS-3282 chip which forms the main body of the data diversion of the interface module are introduced. Secondly, the hardware structure of the interface module is described in detail, mainly including address decipher circuit, data latch and buffer circuit, choice circuit of transmission rate, etc. And then the design philosophy and flow charts of the software are fully discussed, such as the basic requirement of software, the design and realization of the function. Lately test results of hardware and software are reported, focusing on port decipher unit, I/O passway, electric level diversion circuit, the realization of function under user interface. And it proves hardware feasible, software design meeting the demands of function. The last part of this paper is the brief summary, which discusses the reason why we will use Linux instead of DOS, the method and superiority of the program transplant from DOS to SBS Embedded Linux. The prospect of the embedded system is also given.
