Product Data Management Of Induction Motors Based On Networks

Technology of computers and networks, C++ Builder 6.0 and MS SQL Server are employed to develop the product data management (PDM) of induction motors on the basis of networks and WINDOWS. Based on the process of production, which consists of the order, design, test of the motors, taking the design of the motors as a key task, the PDM provides engineers with product data for share, so as to improve the design, shorten the process of production, and reduce the cost.With emphases on application and establishment of database system, the paper expatiates on the basic concept of network based small and medium sized three phase asynchronous motors PDM, summaries the inland and abroad research status quo, introduces the exploiting environment, system configuration and main function of PDM, and follow with detailed discussion of implementation process. Basing on present small and medium asynchronous motors CAD and using object oriented and visualized C++ Builder 6.0 and MS SQL Server, the paper proposes a new approach to design and develop network based small and middle asynchronous motors PDM (Product Data Management) system that contains electromagnetic CAD, experiment data and user demand etc. For experiment data and user demand, this system can not only save, inquire and suggest but also has the function of statistic and analysis, which is essential for the improvement of management and quality of design for the enterprises that manufacture small and medium asynchronous motors.The paper gives the design and the test of several kinds of three-phase induction motors, which proves that the design can be obtained easily and with high accuracy using the CAD program. It is concluded that the program can be employed for the computer aided design of three-phase induction motors.
