To today's machinery industry, market demand for related products is constantly changing, the product also must updates frequently to adapt to changes in demand. However, the product design and researching and development process will produce very large data. It is impossible to rely on manual management, so we urgently need a product data management (Product Data Management, referred to as PDM) system to manage the design development process to help designers quickly and efficiently completing the design and development of new products. In recent years, as companies continue to improve the level of information, many large enterprises in China used the PDM system. However, a considerable portion of the current PDM system only use status information to monitor the work process. The macro-control is weak on new product development projects. Project management (Project Management, referred to as PM) can design and develop new products for joint management. It also can monitor both from the macro to the micro-projects. In the face of most of the weak status of the project management module in PDM systems, this paper presents a project management for application of techniques which based on product data management. The thesis researches and studies from the following aspects:Firstly, according to the construction of the AP1000 nuclear power characteristics of modular products and personnel of the modular organization characteristic, we establish hierarchical model for project management of PDM which based on WBS structure. According to the links between the various elements and characteristics of the project, taking the necessary information, the various units is described with mathematical language. Different stages of the project have different data. Data information has to spread timely and accurate to the hands of the right person to establish a project information model, and the database is designed for the project management module.Secondly, according to multi-level network planning theory and the critical path method, The multi-level project model of control and coordination is established based on critical path. The model can coordinate and control the entire project, and the control and coordination algorithms of the project is given in the course, and achieve a dynamic optimization between all levels, all working nodes, and ensure the project which can be completed on time.Thirdly, by analyzing the actual business process of the project, according to the characteristics of AP1000 nuclear power products, the object-oriented thought is introduced and the object-oriented workflow model is established. This model can improve the flexibility and adaptability of workflow management system, and can be reused to the maximum extent. According to needs analysis and the node state transition analysis, the implementation and control process algorithm of node was designed.Finally, based on above technologies, combining with the actual business process of Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Co., the system function is achieved. Through concrete examples of Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Co. , the system is tested, the result show that the system can achieve stably of the expression features of this papers.
