During the highway construction, especially in the mountain range, the cubic meter of the roadbed earthwork is so large that the veracity and rationality of its allocation would influence the project budget, bidding, construction expense and schedule directly. The scheme of allocation and transport is affected so deeply by topography and physiognomy, earth quality, construction organizing that it is very difficult to get an excellent scheme for earthwork allocation and transport only by experience and handwork.In this paper, considering the construction order and earth quality we can optimize the allocation reasonably according to different place or layer and make rational use of the digging earth and stone, then save the transport cost at the most, and developed a set of applied software with concise algorithm and friendly interface thereby to obtain a best scheme for earthwork allocation and transport quickly and exactly.In this paper, the algorithm is based on minimum cost flow. The scientific method for earthwork allocation is the algorithm of minimum cost flow conforming the requirement of highest and lowest flow capacity and node balance. We established a network model considering the construction order and earth quality. The correctness of the model and algorithm is also proved in this paper at the same time. Considering the complexity of key arithmetic in program, the predigested method that converts negative weight into positive weight is adopted when seeking the shortest path to predigest calculation. In allusion to the particularity of the problem, we improved on the Dijkstra's algorithm. In order to get the allocation scheme in practice, we established a model for converting the allocation scheme, and designed the algorithm.In this paper, a set of effective, applied software for earthwork allocation and transport that adopts object-oriented program technology is developed by means of development tool of VB on the platform of Windows. Data structure, algorithm implement and the four modules are described in detail. The functions and operation are also introduced through a concrete project example.
